22 Acre Farmhouse

Picture
This 1980 lake-view log home overlooks a beautiful freshwater lake in the North-West Mountains. With 22 acres, and over 6000 square feet, we have a lot of work ahead of us to make it into our dream farmhouse. The home had been on the market for a long time so in addition to the normal updates it also has some issues due to neglect and deferred maintenance that will have to be dealt with.  However, we spent money on many inspections and each one said the same thing the home has a great foundation and they did a great job for the time it was built.  They had thought of everything the only problem is it is still in the 80's!!  Besides we were mostly interested in the land and location!  You know what they say about real estate only consider three things when buying: location, location, location!  For us that was certainly true.  We have great neighbors and close to town and the view is amazing so off to DIY work we go!

In addition to the gorgeous view the farmhouse had a 3 hole golf course (technically still does but will need some work to revive!), room for horses with tack & a hay barn, and of course room for a large organic garden and chickens.

Now, it is up to my family to DIY this house into our up to date dream farmhouse.
